I keep forgetting that I live right up the street from Rock Creek Park now, and my neighborhood's right across the street from a sort of mini-park. There's a lovely walk through a strip of woods, and it's just the right length for a walk. Got a bike path and a creek and everything. And if I start at the near end and go to the end, it loops back

Coyotes are well established in Rock Creek Park at this point, so you could very well have seen one.

yeah, i knew that they'd been sighted in the district, but i didn't realize they'd made it as far north as chevy chase. if that's the case, they could very well be all the way up here. (we're at almost the northern end of the park -- there's only a mile or so, tops, between us and the end of beach drive.)

They're certainly in Gaithersburg. Chris sees them in his neighborhood all the time.
