Haha, I still get so excited that people who are not Icelandic know who they are! I love them, they're having a free concert in downtown Reykjavík in a few weeks and I can't wait to finally see them live :)
I'm digging them pretty hard right now. There's a definite morbid folk vibe to their music that I really enjoy, and I would love to see them live. Let me know how they are!
You must not be reading my rl blog! I linked to this vid months ago. And I think you left too early after BP, 'cause I was showing it to people on Sunday night.
IT IS MY FAVORITE! I adore them sooooooo much. OMG, they are so very Icelandic, aren't they? I've shown this vid to anyone I can convince to sit for a few minutes. So. Much. LOVE.
And I love how it's all done to the beat. They are so awesome.
Yay, for you finding it, even if it wasn't because of me (which makes me just a bit sad).
Can I rec you another awesome song/vid? It's my favorite this month (I linked to it on my rl blog as well...): The song is It's Nice to be Alive, the name of the group is Ball Park Music. This band is five guys and one girl (as opposed to Of Monsters and Men, which are six guys and one girl) and they're from Australia. It's the happiest end of the world vid I've ever seen!
Do I have your RL blog address? Did I forget to bookmark/subscribe? This is entirely possible. I am balls at remembering things like this and it always bites me in the ass! Case in point, apparently I could have been giggling over this months ago.
It is the cutest thing I have every seen! I watched some interviews and it was a Canadian animation company that created it, and that just makes me love it more. I think there's something about snow and wackiness that just go hand-in-hand, y'know?
And thank you for the rec! For future reference, you never have to ask to rec me awesome music! I listen to everything and I am ALWAYS INTERESTED in find new loves :D
I've got some older stuff I can rec you back!
Selah Sue - Ragamuffin - adorable Belgian girl rocking some reggae. I've never watched the Official video, but her voice is just so gorgeous and soulful and this has been on heavy rotation in my itunes for a couple of years now and I don't think I ever got around to pimping it. YOU CAN BE FIRST! XD
