Which uni is it? and which country :) and believe it or not the not knowing people though scary as hell is incredibly exciting as well and a life experience most of my friends did it, and went to England last year and I am going there as well to study now, if you accept it try to go on freshers group on facebook to get to know future classmates, I did it and believe me it really makes you feel so happy and reassured :)

Which country?

I think you should go to the college. We always feel scared when we are put into new situations, but that feeling usually go away in just a few days.

Don't worry about your family, their just worried about you.
