wOw. I have never seen a black squirrel before.

Never? They are quite common in certain regions of Michigan. Particularly so all over the northern portion of the Lower Peninsula. Their black coloration allows them to retain heat better in winter and gives them a 13% higher probability of surviving the winter than their gray phase brethren.

He was more afraid and in a state of panic than angry. The vocalizations he was making, were not what squirrels typically do when angry. Usually, when they're angry, they make a series of short staccato barking sounds.
