Clang click... click... click... click... clang click... click... click... click...Grimmer's hallway was no emptier than usual. Guards, alone, roamed through them periodically to keep a vigilant eye on the Credintan criminals kept therein. But these footsteps were different; anybody who had spent long enough there were intimately familiar with the cadence of each of the guards. These were shallow, meandering, and somehow... threatening ( ... )

Grimmer was sitting on the bed against the wall, one leg pressed against his chest, and the other leg meeting the ground. He listened to the clicking and banging with mild interest; it was a welcome outside distraction from his frustrated thoughts.

Once the square opening was opened, Grimmer blinked towards the Joker in surprised confusion, but his expression quickly turned to a tired frown.

"Oh, so you're here now."

"Aww, lighten up, Grim!"

He looked up and down the hallway, to be sure that nobody was coming while they had their little tete-a-tete. Then he turned his attention to the inside of the cell, examining it, taking it apart in his mind. Grimmer would be familiar with how that gaze felt, but the walls didn't seem to mind.

"How they been treatin' you? Heard the food's terrible."

The Joker was clearly enjoying this, and wasn't making much effort to hide the fact.

"I've seen worse corruption; so it's been fine." Grimmer smiled; His expression was learned, like always, but there was something different it. As though the thin-mask was the only thing keeping back a second personality, that had been chewing and clawing away at Grimmer's mind. "As for the meals, well...I worked in America for awhile, so the foods okay to me!" He looked abit paler, more tired, and had a bruise at the side of his head ( ... )
