Characters: Espedon, Open When: About an hour after the smoke appears Where: Outside the apartment -> The warzone Rating: TBA Summary: Espedon hauls it to the warzone with anybody who wants to go along.
Ritsuka had headed down before Soubi, his school bag unpacked and then repacked with anything that might be of use. He sat on curb, playing absently with his cellphone (still no bars), flipping through pictures of his friends, Soubi, and then hovering on Seimei.
When he looked back and saw Espedon he gave a small wave, ears perking.
Soubi exited the apartment building with his own school back over his shoulder. No proper showers for how ever long they'd been in the stupid city and less than stellar meals had him crankier than usual. And he was pretty annoyed at the idea of this new threat popping up close enough to see the smoke and smell the death. No way he was letting Ritsuka go out alone with a stranger. He left his text books of course. No need for them on this trip. And the dirty gym clothes, which were just as dirty as his current clothing as they had nothing to change into. And the shoes of course. No, he had a drawing pad and some pencils and erasers and the small first aid kit (assorted band-aids really) and of course, his phone. It might get bars at some point. Ears low, but not quite flat, and sticking out to either side of his head, Soubi stopped a few inches behind Ritsuka, "Ready."
Ritsuka pushed himself to his feet, hanging his phone back around his neck and moving close to offering a small hug and a quick kiss to the cheek, standing on toes, "We'll be fine," he promised with a nod, ears perking encouragingly, hoisting his bag back up onto his shoulder, "Hopefully we can find out what happened, and maybe help some people; nothing bad is going to happen."
All of... two people, Espedon thought with a smile. Of all of the residents, he hadn't expected Ritsuka either to show up or to want to go. Less people means faster travel, at least.
Espedon worked the voice translation function on his PDA. It seemed most of the apartment building's tenants spoke 'Japanese'; he made a mental note to learn a few rudimentary phrases when he got the chance.
He looked up from the PDA and eyed Soubi for a moment. Ritsuka had mentioned him a couple of times. Espedon hadn't been aware that they were that close. Not common, but not unheard of, either. Neither of them looked like fighters, however. The hunter didn't much feel like babysitting, but he wasn't going to let them get hurt, if he could help it
