She finds it more than fitting, somehow, that in the city of New York a battle such as this should take place under the sign of a rose. Everything about her speaks of pure intensity of focus and force of will -- they must not fail.

The aura of saidar around her is not visible in this world save to those who are sensitive to such things, but to those, it appears to surround her with the fierce burning light of a small star as she opens herself to the One Power-- so very different from the Lone Power -- and prepares for the moment when her Oaths will not prevent her from acting.

The peryton lets out a noise somewhere between a yelp and a scream and falls, writhing once before falling still.
