Mayfield,

We are all trapped here, and we all wish to escape. However, we will not move forward if things remain the way they are, ana. It is not because we are weak, but because we lack an important thing: Peace in our actions.

You must see: Everyone who has attempted escape or revenge has done so through the same means: An attack of some kind. And ( Read more... )

You do not have to be good at plans to try and keep anger under control, ana.

I guess that's true.

It is! And by not acting on instinct, you are able to better yourself!

. . . I think you're right. But you know, we need to make plans to gain understanding, too. They won't tell us anything, so we have to find it out by ourselves. And that means action.

It is true, we still need plans. But they must be ones that don't mean harm.

Has anyone tried to gain information peacefully? From the mayor, I mean.

. . . If he wanted to help us, he would tell us as soon as we got here. No, he doesn't say anything at all.

It is not that they want to help, but getting information might not be difficult if someone does so through peaceful means.

I fear such words will fall on deaf ears.

That may be, but it is still worth trying.

I don't think anybody should try to talk to the milkman, though. He doesn't listen. Believe me, I know.

The milkman is in charge?

I think he's more like a guard dog. Like, what you set on somebody when you don't wanna deal with them yourself.

Ah. So he is that kind of person...

I hope I do not run into him, ana. It would probably end badly...

... a nice sentiment. But they're hardly so cordial to us, are they? Eye for an eye, I say.

That may be true, but we do not need to stoop to their level.

I'd been thinking about it lately - has anyone actually tried peaceful talks with Grady or the Mayor? Or just... going along with it? Acting like a drone and just seeing what happens? Are they wise to things like that, or do the people trapped here only ever resort to violence?

I do not know for certain, but it looks like violence is the only thing they try.

I plan on seeing if speaking to the mayor peacefully will yield any new information.
