I am trying as hard as I can to finish my goddamned thesis. It's insanely difficult because I stopped caring about it the minute I started it, and if I don't care about something I don't do it. I should have stuck to my guns and done the Bayeux thing, but... well. Department pressure is department pressure, and it's kind of too late to change

My mother told me to elope. I was like, "Bzuh?" but really, by elope she meant tell everyone in the family where we were going so they could be there too and then throw a big party.

My mom, she's smart like a fox.

(I would totally elope but I want a big geeky party. This will all be easier once I choose a damn place to hold it and find a way to fund it. Like planning a conference! I need to "reserve 258" and "find a keynote speaker.")

Congrats on getting married! I'm so excited for you! If you do decide to live in NJ let me know! I'm currently living in Avenel, NJ but I can easily hop a train to visit you sometime or vice versa. Also good luck on the thesis. I'm so happy for you. Let me know how everything goes.
