Yesterday, I finished English. I uttered my last English syllable to the applause of the sensor. It is weird.

I talked, no, I rambled, on about multicultural Britain and a clipping from Newsweek some 7 years old. Moved rantingly on to answering why an article on Britain, by a Briton, interests Americans. I covered the rise and fall of the British ( Read more... )

It was, believe me, it was. It was instant gratification, really, more than anything.

It was horribly boring, really. I just didn't get it, I think. Moments of a certain fascination, I'll give it that, but that's it. Well, we really can't complain about being exotic, can we?

Russian is just adorable - or so I think, with my current, very limited exposure. Thank you, I think I might need it. French bores me so endlessly I'm not sure I can be bothered, other than to grasp it well enough to scrape a descent mark.

Right you are, he's shot. And has some wonderful, shall we say experiences?

At the very least, he was good at them.

Thank you, I hope I did. Or, I believe I did, when comparing myself to the others. But still.

She was fun, til you "got her". Kline was very fun, but he was a bit over the top at times. I'm glad I won't have to see it again, anytime soon.

Useless teachers must take at least some part of the blame. Had they been capable of teaching me something they might've sparked some interest. Interesting theory that, I really can't imagine they're all that good at French. We just can't judge it, can we?

I'm just glad he stays away from her, I really can't stand her. But the scene was most certainly interesting.

Was is the operative term, I think. Very much alive or not. (And I thought I answered this, but lo and behold, I had not.)
