Okay, oh most beloved of brain trusts, I need help! I am trying to find a bird safe way to get rid of my most unwanted roaches. They are getting bolder, and I'm getting the heebie jeebies bad.
My mom will tell you that everyone in Atlanta has roaches, and honestly, I kind of believe her (although the people who try to call them "palmetto bugs" as if giving it a pretty name will change the fact it's a roach always annoy me). I found a website that suggested mixing sugar and borax into a paste and putting that down to kill them. Borax is still toxic, but it's better than a aerosol and as long as the birds don't get on the floor (or under the cupboards), it should be fine.
Most of the other advise is "Don't have a damp house" (yeah right, the entire SOUTH is damp) and "Don't have food around" (which I guarantee, doesn't really help).
