Tonight's menu for C. & me: baked chicken (boneless, skinless, free-range breasts marinated in fresh-squeezed lemon juice and sun-dried tomato dressing/marinade); sauteed organic swiss chard; wild rice casserole with broccoli, spinach and cheese; and chocolate bread pudding.  Most of this will be homemade except for the dessert (found it in the ( Read more... )

If you lived here I would definitely invite you over! I love to cook when I have time (usually Sunday nights), and I *always* have leftovers.

i wish you and i could visit S in France together. The 3 of us, can you imagine?

I am in a rut when it comes to cookin. I only have about a half hour everyday when I come home so its spaghetti or Stouffers pasta and vegtables. I use the chicken breast tenders that are frozen because they cook faster being so small. When I take my time I can whip up a good meal complete with all the fixin's.
Rarely though do I have time to cook from scratch like I did when I was younger. I do love to cook though.

You have aquired a more sophisticated style when it comes to food. I am guessing my taste in food is more aligned with what your father is accustomed to. My guess is you were raised in the tradition of cooking southern/east texas style.
