Well, it was that time: to visit the family in Texas. I arrived yesterday afternoon, and let me just say: it's cold! LA has spoiled me. It's been around 33-35 degrees F, but should be warming up the next few days. I'll be here till Monday ( Read more... )

Didn't your dad once impugn my manliness for not knowing how to change a tire? I always liked your dad, even though I only knew him by reputation.

That does ring a bell. But I recall you helping me change a tire and doing a damn good job. I mean, thank God it happened near your apartment building! But yeah, I think my dad is pretty cool. You could bond over the Bob Wills.

i feel ya - families are so intricate and amazing yet so....laughable at times. hope you get back to the West sometime soon.
