Nov 29, 2007 10:30

Ah, the morning after.  I did the word count, uploaded the text, and am now sitting pretty at 50,210 words.

I'm realizing that now that I'm past 100%, the stats aren't really that much of a big deal.  So... that's that.  I'd post my winning sticker, but sadly, I don't have photo hosting.  I do, however, have access to a swank color printer, and ( Read more... )

I'd post my winning sticker, but sadly, I don't have photo hosting.

Make a LJ icon*. It's an accomplishment, so show it off a little. And, in the future you can look back and say to yourself, 'If I can do NaNoWriMo then I can do anything I set my mind to.' That's one reason why I keep my icon from last year -- it reminds me the important lessons I learned from NaNoWriMo.

*I'll make it for you if you want -- just send me the file.

Does LJ have a photo cropping tool? I thought they did.

I think so, but I never use it. Try uploading it just like any other user icon -- the crop too should kick in if the image is more than 100x100 pixels.

not sure - we'll see how the posting goes into the new month, with the lighter workload and stuff... I always regret not being able to keep a steady journal (live or otherwise)... I feel like such a slacker...

FYI for those who invariably ask me how many pages I have written - Raw text, courier new 10 point font, normal margins, it's 75 pages long, approximately 600-650 words a page. I'm currently at work re-applying paragraph formatting to it, becuase the tabs got lost when I converted to txt. Hateful.
