20340 - Into the forbidden zone.

So I broke 20,000 today. I'm well on my way to eating up the last of my word deficit, and am prepared to sail onward to mid-month, feeling footloose and fancy-free.

So why the disquiet? I think it's because I'm reaching the outer boundary of my usual ability to write. I wrote a similar post to this last year, and frankly, I'm kind of surprised I'm ( Read more... )

I have, over the course of my life, been great at starting things and horrible at finishing them. The odd part isnt that I give up or lose interest but WHERE I give up and lose interest. It always tends to be when I am pretty close to completion. For some reason the last third of the race has always been the most difficult for me to run ( ... )

I wouldnt really call it vain to want to see your work in the proper form. Its really similar to framing an artistic picture you took or a painting you did.

Its the state novels belong in

If only there was some kind of proverbial pony - somewhere between getting back on the horse and walking. I typed up a bunch last night (nowhere near enough, but a bunch) and worked out some things during class today. I don't really feel like writing (much, much more like sleeping since I didn't really do that yesterday) but I feel good about having an actual idea about what's to come. Sadly, it's ridiculously cliche, but as pointed out by you and the guy who wrote the book, I can worry about that later, or not. Whatev's. I just gotta get it written.
