Photoblog: An adventure buying Brain Age

Here's an unconventional post for this community. I originally wrote this for N-Philes, a Nintendo site that I write for. But I kinda liked it, so I thought I would post it here too. It contains a dozen or so pictures. 56kers beware! It's edited for content.

Some great pictures too. I would never have imagined that buying a DS game would be such an arduous quest, but there you go!

"I would never have imagined that buying a DS game would be such an arduous quest, but there you go!"

It can be! I mean, imagine being a UK citizen who wants to buy Metroid Prime Hunters. That would be quite the little quest (probably involving a plane ticket and seeing the world in the process).

great post - I start training on monday

also - that 6min "Jason Dobson" video is funny as hell too ;)

Nintendo pulled a smart move by making this title so cheap as well

I think the nature of the game requires it be so cheap. From what I saw you're rather limited in what you can do per day. It's sort of like Animal Crossing (NGC) to an extent after a few months there's not much for you to do all day long. You end up playing for 10-15 minutes a day. There's nothing wrong with that the game is still fun, I'm about to go grab my weekly song from K.K. Dog as it is, but most people won't pay full price for a game like that.

Albeit Animal Crossing is a bit more 'full' in the day-to-day aspect than BT.

it'd be even smarter for them to sell the game in a DS lite bundle (say... free Brain Age with purchase) in bookstores and unconventional sections of department stores :)

he says some of the weirdest things. I wonder what the real Dr. Kawashima thinks of his polygonal alter-ego.
