I turned my DS in for Future Shop's product replacement plan (the dreaded cracked hinge), and I've finally received my gift card for $152. So now Im debating buying the blue/black DS, or shelling out the extra cash and upgrading to the DSi ( Read more... )

I would say upgrade, just because I haven't heard of any DSis with cracked hinges. I have a DS Lite with a cracked hinge that I hardly play now and I don't know of anywhere around here that would give me money for it... I don't know about the card issues, but I think you'd be better off shelling out for a compatible card and the DSi if you can.

When did you get your DS? i got mine on the day they came out and the hinge cracked but I never sent it in, lol.

I'm wondering if it's too late to cash in on a replacement?
