I don't use a case at all for mine, it doesn't really rtavel out of the house much anyways. Hori screen protectrs are great, or you can get ones that are for palm pilots and the like that just use static cling to stay on.
I've never used them myself but I hear they're great. The only thing with them is you have to cut them to size since they're meant for bigger things, but they're also really cheap so I guess it all works out.
They don't leave any sticky stuff when you remove them? Do they lose their shape (stretch loose) if I wanted to use more than one and swap them out every so often?
That link to the crystal clear case is the one I have. My case is all scratched up, but when my DS comes out of it, it looks absolutely brand new. I've had my DS for a year and 2 months and it's been in the SAME case for a year and 1 month. The case itself is VERY durable. When I first got my DS I got one of those NERF cases and it was way way waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to bulky.
I've been using the Pelican screen protectors for a long time now, and they went on great. Haven't tried taking them off yet, but they've done well. Some people say not to worry about the top screen, but scratches infuriate me so I put one on anyway. You really don't notice a difference.
It's nice if you've got big hands (it's play-through), plus the zippered pouch holds a good number of games. Basically anything play-through is my suggestion
No, Nintendo DS Lite or original cannot play Gameboy Color games. They can, however, play Gameboy Advance games via the bottom slot, aka slot 2.
And no, there is no attachment or accessory or whatever that will let you play Gameboy Color games...
For screen protector, I heard great things about Hori protector. But be careful where you buy it, there are second-rated fakies out there. The way it works is that it static-cling to the screen, no stickiness whatsoever involves.

They have really gorgeous skins,
$20 may seem like a lot but it was totally worth it
The skin is a gel plastic with an x grid over its surface so it really protects the ds.
Its hard to get on at first but its easily removable and can reapplied multiple times.

I don't know as far as losing their shape I havnt had mine off long enough to test that theory,
But I have taken it off a few times to readjust it and it sticks perfectly everytime,
I love it though, I dont need a case to protect it as the skin already is =)
