New Super Mario Bros. Easy, But Fun ;-)

I purchased New Super Mario Bros for my DS last week at Target during their storewide sale (only $24) and yeah, it was well worth it. I just love this game! I love that they put the Super Mario 64 minigames in there all together.. very cool, too. I had fun playing it, but it was way too short/easy. I was hoping for more of a Super Mario World type map, not just a simple one-way map that occasionally forks.

Also, not enough powerups: Mushroom, Mega Mushroom, Mini Mushroom, Fireflower, Starman. That's it. SMB3 had more than that. I guess they were trying to make it like the original, but it seemed too simple.

NSMB is easy, heck i beat the jp version (I'm a horrbile person I know) before I had even bought the US one, then I beat it again even faster. But for people that haven't been playing 2d platformers for 10+ years it's not all that easy. It's still not especially hard, but it hits a balance between fun and frustration pretty well for the nongamer. my girlfriend loves it, i still ahven't got my copy back from her.

yea. my girlfriend loved the orignial mario on her friends nintendo so i let her play that and the new kirby and it is almost cruel of me laughing like i do when she gets frustrated by it, stuff that would be easy for me. "leave it" i say, "finish the level and get that coin later" she shouts "No! leave no coin behind!"
