Today bombed completely. The bright side is that I'm done with classes... except for a Art History, which I'm probably going to fail -- so yeah, done with classes. Somehow that lacks satisfaction. /wry

But! Hey, Doodle Request time! Who wants a doodle? I will draw virtually anything. :< Seriously, I will.

Awe man, what happened today? Bad final? :(

You know, I was thinking about something I would love to see you draw, but I can't remember what it was, now... Other than the scribble zoo. :D Maybe it will come back to me. In the meanwhile, maybe some superheros. Or aliens. Space. Something fantastical. ;)

Hmh. A silent art critique, but I'm over it now. Ah! Summer break, here I come!

If you ever remember be sure to tell me! :) I tried to combine all three with fantastical in this picture. Maybe I was successful? ♥

Oh my god! I am swooning over this, I am. It is gorgeous. I wish I could mail you my immediate reaction to it, when I saw it for the first time (let me reenact it a bit with emoticons: :-O!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Since then, I've just been coming back and admiring it so terribly. He is such an elegant superhero alien space man. There's this beauty to him. Like, I have a feeling, if he were real, he would be so courtly and devastating to all the ladies and/or gentlemen in a place -- no, to all of space. I love how you lit his face and the way his eyes are very emotive, soulful, a great draw-in, and just the slightest, contemplative pucker to his lips. And his air tank helmet! Hee. The background and his green suit are awesome accents to the style of his face. I wonder what sort of life he has, in your head...

I'm sorry to hear about your critique, but if it makes any difference, this is wonderful. ♥♥

I am fond of your sharks, too! Bubbly.

And you know, the sort of muted sandy tone of tan (and even green) that you used makes me feel like maybe he is a desert-planet dweller or perhaps dry and non-committed, like sand. He, while being elegant and beautiful, also, I meant to say, has this sort of dangerous feel to him-- I think it might be because he looks so collected and nonplussed (and even a touch bored, maybe), so who knows what he's really thinking? And the cracking is striking. Reminds me of when they have the tense moments in film and television where there're lightening storms to hint at bad blood and evil comings and stuff. Huh, intimidating beauty and brains. ;D I don't think I'd want to meet him up close. Maybe see him off in the distance at a function. An art show in New York, perhaps? Hahaha. "Our eyes met over the hors d'oeuvres table. ...And then I melted to a puddle of fear/adoration, and that was that."

Noooo bad day. But maybe you can explain something I've heard my art geek friends laugh about all the time, but I've been too embarrassed to ask them to explain in-depth: "Surrealism--not a joke!" and then they chuckle, so there's probably an element of in-joke going on. But I am not an art geek I do not understand these things :(

♥ Um. Three monks chilling out on a sidewalk with an upright string bass, laughing and having a good time. Maybe Buddhist or something, so their robes are colorful.

I have no idea what that means! I think you should ask them, and come back with the answer. Unless they mean that surreal jokes are...surreal jokes? Random, spontaneous and illogical. Haha, I'm perplexed! D:

I'm not done with it, but I think I'll take a little break from it. I think you can tell I've never held a string instrument properly in my life. ;p

No I can't I'm too shy ;_; I think I'll just go with what you said and say it's because it's surrealism and it's weird. period.

I know you haven't forgotten! :D It looks great so far I can't wait for the rest, by which I mean I am very eager for later this week. Haha, yeah, it's totally understandable with the bass... the prompt wasn't very position-friendly D;
