I'm totally digging April so far, but it's been an exhausting month to keep on top of with Seattle this week, Stumptown comics next, and, um, who knows what after. Mellow, mellow, no more, this merry month of April!

You do some wonderful things with charcoal, man. It looks almost like paint, how it's applied, with movement and thick. I like the story idea I get from the picture, too, the atmosphere, the way the shoes are situated and how they contrast; it makes me wonder what the situation it is -- or all the situations it could ever be. The title really says a lot, too. It kicks you, almost, haha, but no pun intended. ;D It's raw and kind of blunt where the piece is almost (/very) subtle. I don't know where everyone is because I thought I'd be the "latecomer to the party"... But whatever, doesn't change the absolute fact that this is gorgeous.

I am liking April, too. :D Some nice epiphanies and great weather and just a freshness, despite the workload. I am glad your April has turned out peachy so far, also!

Thank you! Do you think it's too technical minded? A classmate said that it felt more like a study than an actual drawing. XD I'm glad the title kicks. I think it becomes less subtle when paired with the other drawings I did of it. Maybe. None of my classmates picked it up, so it's probably all in my head. Ah. What a dirty mind I have. Hahah, they're probably partying someplace over, most likely heading over to your new engagement of Rika and Bosco With Wall.

April is rad. Do you guys over S/E get the cherry et al blossoms around this time, too? Sudden spike of color all over the city, yo.
