three days

I became a little envious of all the cool video things people play with and decided to try some for myself. It was fun, my laptop survived it. I'm deleting the video in a few days, but I wanted to show it to you guys before I did. Hah, it's a practice piece. I don't know what I'm doing with the youtube account. Maybe I'll start making videos of ( Read more... )

It's so cool to watch! O_O I love the blue in it. But I love when wacky colors show up when you don't think they should, but it still works anyway~

I personally haven't used it, but I hear from all the Mac snobs *cough* XD that Windows Movie Maker is a pain to deal with. Persevere!

^_^/clapclap/ Yay~ Wacky subtle colors are the best. They make things pop. Although I think in this case the snail needed more popping done.

Oh my--it was so mean to me. It would just stop to hide my files, for no reason. And, ugh. No. I will find something else. Even if I have to dish out cash. Or not. Yay, freeware ♥

Wow... You know, I never think of the actual creation process as necessarily beautiful (a lot of erased lines and cursing and sitting and letting things fester, haha), but you really made me rethink that completely! You made it something interesting and beautiful to watch. I loved how the snail literally went 3D before my eyes, from sketch to life, and how all the colors worked and grew from each other. And awe, its face is so awesome! Hee, glasses and the eyebrows. Haha, though, I feel bad for the sketch you covered up. Poor other-glasses-wearing person. ♥

So cool. You should do more videos! Maybe stuff with your wax processes and all that. If you can do process videos with that sort of thing. (I'm interested to see how that works!)

There are a lot of really interesting videos out there! I could link you to some? The secret, apparently, is having music in the background or otherwise it becomes a very dull watching. There are also boards out there, oekakie, where they record what you do in super high speed.

I don't think I have the right kind if camera for that, but I'll definitely try new things. :)

Sure, link away! I feel like I came off some snob who doesn't like art progression videos, though, haha. Hmm... I guess what I really meant to say was that yours was the first art progression video I've seen that really made me realize that creation is a beautiful process. I mean, yeah, you can be wowed by what someone is doing in the video, and I was by yours, but above that it felt really beautiful, every line of it. Even when you backed up or went over something...especially when you did that. I think what I'm getting at more isn't that the progression video was beautiful, but your style of building your art. I wasn't watching so much to see what it would become but just watching to see the art for creation's sake; the final product was a bonus, almost, because the whole thing was awesome. So I guess it's not so much about the videos, just your creation process and how cool it was to see that (maybe even more so because I know your art.) It just kinda gave me an epiphany about art in general. I don't know...I feel like I'm not ( ... )

I didn't think you came off as a snob at all -- you're always very lovely with what you say! Unlike my klutzy fashion. :)
Sorry if I what I last replied with was weird. I'm feeling embarrassed about the whole video thing now that it's been a few days. Hahahahah, really vain of me to do so. But I'm super pleased to hear that you got an epiphany from watching it. When I'm old and brow beating my friends, I will say "once, my art made (a) people have certain random revelations" and "pass me my cain, you."

I think I get what you're trying to say. Yes, I quite think I do. Kind like a "it's not so much the destination, but the journey" sort of thing? Yeah? Has it, cough changed the way you do your drawings? Because, oh, hey, we're never talked about how you go about that lovely business!

(Oh yeah! I love watching his videos, especially the new cheese puff Elvis.)

I can assure you that whatever I end up doing, I will share with you. ;p mwahahahaha!
