Hey, It's November! How did that happen? It's like I took a wrong turn somewhere, and BAM! Slippery leaves on the floor ready to offer little friction. It's all good.
I'm glad. For both those statements. It's nice to touch it, too. And it smells weird. The cpu submitted, and has been transformed as a napping container for my cat by my cat.
Oh man, oh man, I love this! ♥♥ Seriously, I...want one for my own. I love how you composed it! That the background is all CPU gut is just stunning, and how the person seems to be almost peeling back their clothes to reveal machine parts, organs, all that sort of stuff, is gorgeous. And I love how you continued the CPU parts down the edges of the painting, only more subtle - maybe for the texture more than the look? - to keep the style throughout. Everything about it... I am blown away. I think you just keep outdoing yourself with each new project. :DD You make me want to get up and tear things apart and put them back together in new ways.
Any chance you'll do a series of pieces like this one? I mean, not even necessarily CPU/technology-paintings, but just...3-D mixed in with art medium? I think that would be pretty fantastic!
the person seems to be almost peeling back their clothes to reveal machine parts, organs Yes! It's totally what they are suppose to be doing. I need to render so it looks like that unmistakably, but I'm so glad you got that. Oh, ♥
The parts going down the panel are actually a part of the panel. The panel was the outer surface of the cpu. It's hooked and has grabby parts to connect to the frame. I was originally going to do the painting on wood, but once I saw that what was available, I changed my mind.
want to get up and tear things apart and put them back together in new ways Do it! Ear phones are nice to play with, as well as old cd players.
I plan to actually. I have enough parts for a smaller piece. And the panels for when I get more circuit boards. Technology has been a focus in my art projects this Fall. <3
Oh, I think it looks like it unmistakably, but I wanted to sort of not be so assertive in my observations, in case you were going for something else, or I'd somehow seen something you hadn't intended. ;D But I'm glad I didn't. I really love the idea.
That is so cool! Now I see it. Wow, you really did do a lot for this piece (and it shows!) I think you opting for the panel instead of wood was a brilliant choice.
Oh, I need to find some things that maybe don't work anymore. I always have such a hard time convincing myself to gut something that still works. Guess now's a good time to go to the flea market or yard sale hop. ;DD
Cool! Definitely show them to us (me), as you work on them. ♥

I just realized I should have asked you for some tips on killing circuit boards, hahaha. Next time! :o
