I feel that your rank is Chuunin because of the steady, middleman kind of role you'd want to take on in the Scenario section. Also, because it seems to be less stressful in general than being a Jounin, but with more responsibility than Genin.
It would take a very extreme circumstance to stop me from attempting a rescue. I don't take the concept of being a team lightly. We are in it together. You don't abandon your teammates- end of discussion.
