Five Great Shinobi Countries

Really, I feel sorry for the people living in some of those countries. Red Bean is perhaps worse.

Name: Vanya
Please post the links to three applications you've voted on recently:

What are three positive adjectives that you would use to describe yourself (please try to go into some detail for each one!)?:
1. Independent. I can't stand being reliant, and I instead prefer to learn from self-experience. I'm afraid I even take it to extremes as I dislike working in groups and can be extremely prideful/stubborn.
2. Analytical. I'm good at figuring things out, finding hidden meanings, so on, so forth.
3. Strong-willed. Quite frankly, I've been through and seen a lot in my (admittedly short) life, but I refuse to give in, give up, or waste away my life despite it all.

What are three negative adjectives that you would use to describe yourself?:
1. Manipulative. I've warped the interests or emotions of others into believing or doing what I want them to, although I never do it without reason.
2. Critical. If someone else messes up once, I tend to not let them have another chance. I don't expect perfection, but competence? Yes. It should be noted that the same applies to me as well-- If I mess up, I (innerly) feel as if I've failed at everything... However, I never express that to others or make it shown.
3. Cynical. Distrusting others, prone towards negativity, and finding a way to make rainbow-colored bunnies with heart-shaped eyes sound like someone's method of making money? Wait, are you sure this isn't my middle name?

Would others agree with the above adjectives? Would they possibly use different ones to describe you (and, if yes, which ones would you not be surprised to see)?
The person I confide the most in has admitted I have all of those traits at one point or another, but most people... it can differ greatly. There are people who view me as some sort of completely heartless Satan-spawn, but others who perceive me as calm, quiet, mature, and thoughtful. The difference is due to both the personal beliefs and intelligence of individuals ("You lied to me once! And you don't seem to like people very much! You must be Satan!" Pft.), and how diplomatic I may be feeling at the moment I meet them.

I think they would all generally agree on the 'analytical' bit at least. Regardless of how people view me, they often come to me if they need help figuring something out.

If YOU were able to create a ninja village, what symbol would you want on your forehead protector?
I'd want it to be something that represents the village as a whole. So it would depend on what the founding principles of the village were as well as the location.

What type of weather and/or which season do you prefer?
I enjoy both autumn and winter. I love autumn's crisp, bitting winds and washed out, often gray shades. Winter I value for its introspection, and I prefer colder temperatures in general.

What type of location do you see yourself more likely to live in (for example: near water, in the desert, near a forest, etc.)?
Prairies are the only part of nature I've never learned to respect; as long as it's not that I'm happy. Although, I do slightly prefer mountains, forests, and oceans above everything else.

Would you like ninja training in your village to be harsh in order for the strongest to advance, or would you rather it be more forgiving of mistakes?
Eh, can I have both? It can start out harsh, but then be divided into two categories-- one for the ninja who can endure it, and the other for the ninja who are still capable but not as talented or determined as the other category. Which leads us to the next question...

Speaking of missions, would you prefer only hard or advanced missions for all of your resident ninja or would you not mind them participating in simpler errands if need be?
[cont] ... where the less powerful ninja would be sent on the less important or dangerous missions, whereas the first group can reserve their energy for the advanced missions.

Would you prefer living in a more populated and busy village, or one more rural/country-like?
In real life, I would definitely chose the populated village, but that's mainly because of how rural areas tend to be more change adverse and prone to having backwards beliefs, sometimes completely rejecting anything science has proven. (I have lived in a cornfield rural area my entire life; I speak from experience) and that doesn't necessarily apply to the Naruto-verse. Still, while I do enjoy being around nature, I would prefer to be somewhere with more action where many options are open to me.

All hidden villages have a leader...what kind of leader would you most respect and why?
There's a difference between the type of people I personally respect and those I would want to have as leaders D;, but in terms of what I'd want to see in a leader-- intelligence, ability to think of the consequences, rationality/control over their emotions (so we don't get drawn into some war just because someone insulted the leader's hat), and concern for how well the citizens are living. (Whether it's out of benevolence, a desire to be liked, or fear of rebellion-- I don't care, as long as it's there because I'm selfish and don't like starving or living in the slums.)

Would you prefer it if your village's leader had almost total power and control over the workings of the village, or shared it with some kind of council?
Neither option is perfect. A council can have constant fighting and never get anything accomplished (or they can all agree and be no different from an individual leader), but one person can not be trusted to make the right decisions 100% of the time and total power can cause people to do things even they never imagined.

So, I'll say a single leader surrounded by other high-ranking individuals. That way, they hear other opinions and have a fear of having someone to answer to if they make an unwise decision.

Anything else?: I hate talking about myself. This raises the question "Why on earth do I fill out so many of these applications?" I'm also currently very amused at how none of my past stamps here go together x)
