You probably do not recall who I am, but for the record, Austin is an amazing city. There's more live music than you can shake a stick at, and it hosts the yearly South by Southwest festival (http://sxsw.com/). Though it's somewhat a college town, it's also the state capitol and hosts a number of awesome clubs, bars, and hotspots. I suggest strolling down 6th street on a Friday night. There's always a band playing. I also suggest heading to a place called the Oasis. During warmer months, they have live music and dancing out on a giant patio. They're situated on Lake Travis so there's always a nice breeze.

I sound like I work in the tourist bureau, but I promise I just love that city.
