[As always, Splinter wakes up early. The smells and sights are still strange, but Splinter has reoriented himself. Through the course of the morning, he sees each of his sons in turn to train and access their progress

[Leo's one of the only turtles that doesn't need woken up. It's like clockwork. Up well before his brothers. He's outside in the back, working his way through a Kata with one sword. The village was quiet, with most of the residents still in bed. The chances of being seen were low, but he was still on alert just in case.]
((Let me know if this works, if not I can change it. XD))
But unfortunately not as remote or as obscured from prying eyes.
[Yes, the peacefulness unnerved Splinter as well. It seems almost... forced. People are tense, waiting for something. It is not the same peacefulness of Northampton.]
[He'll look in one of the directions he knows one of the other houses is in. There were trees for cover, but even those didn't provide complete cover.]
Closest icon I could find to training. xD He's not, you know, threatening Splinter or anything.honorthecodeMarch 30 2011, 02:24:13 UTC
[He's straightening up at those words.]
Yes Sensei.
He gives a bow, and backs up to have room. He draws a katana again, and goes into another kata. Like Mikey, he's still fit like Splinter remembers. The winter months he was here may of hindered him some, though. Especially with his body having to adjust. Going from early fall, to the middle of winter.]
[And so they begin, going through katas and techniques. Eventually, Splinter leads him in meditation. It is now that he senses that Leonardo has something to tell him. He opens his eyes again, looking at his son.]
[Leo follows Splinter's lead through the katas and techniques. Doing his best to do them right the first time. It's tiring, though, and a part of him is relieved to sit down and meditate. He closes his eyes and works his breathing to settle his mind, to be calm. He eventually opens his eyes though, at Splinter's questioning tone. His own tone holds a little reluctance and frustration over the situation that's been going on. It's serious though. They need to do this, even if it results in little change.]
Master Splinter, we need to have a family meeting.

He is not surprised to see Leonardo is already awake and practicing. He has always been that sort of turtle.]
Early morning training?

He knows Splinter's there though, the voice only confirms it. He finishes up the Kata, before turning to him. Re-sheathing his sword, before he bowed]
Yes, Master Splinter. While it's still quiet out.

It is always quiet here compared to our home.
[But he knows what you mean. No distractions.]

[It was nice, but at the same time it was a little unnerving. All this peacefulness had a hidden danger.]

Yes, Sensei. [Afterward, he has something he needs to speak to Splinter about.]
