Sailor Moon!
So, I learned recently that Viz Media has gained the rights to Sailor Moon. Why is this cool? A) I adore Sailor Moon. B) Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune are no longer cousins, but lovers as in the original Japanese version. And, this time, they're using the original names. So I don't have to remember that Serena is Usagi, and Darien is Mamoru, etc

It's not just that LGBT 'ship that won't be messed about with. Zoisite will get to, you know, be a man in love with another man. Lots of ways a faithful adult translation will rock!
C) It's subbed, so I can hear the original voices. I prefer subtitles when possible...
I like dubs, but then they're promising the cast they've brought together for the dub has been approved by Naoko Takeuchi herself. Speculation is they'll roll out just who is in the dub cast in July at convention. I can't wait!
But, it's been about two decades, so it's new and shiny!
This! I am ridiculously pleased by how exciting it is to get to see everyone in the, "together again for the first time," way that seeing them in a fresh faithful sub gives. :D

Aaah. Yeah, I heard about the "reboot" first. I only heard VIZ had gotten the rights to ALL of the Sailor Moon anime after. They didn't just get all of the previously released stuff either. They got the fifth and final season which hasn't been done before, not to mention every movie, and special. It's EPIC.

Heh. To be fair you don't seem to be alone. I just get tired of people talking about the female ship where the girls got to keep their original genders, and ignoring the ship where they made it hetero-normative by changing Zoisite's gender.

You're welcome. The dub messed up every one of the generals names, and I've never understood why they couldn't even handle getting the spelling right for characters whose names you can look up at http://www.merriam-webster.com/, what with them all being gem names. *Rolls eyes.*
