Iron Man...

So, saw Iron Man today...

I liked it... Don't want to go see it again tomorrow like my manager did (He saw it one day, and went the next with his girlfriend and pretended he hadn't seen it...), but I liked it...

But... Spoiler for the post-credit scene of movie (Is there a technical term for that?) )

Nick Fury is not black! He's a grisly pale white man with facial hair and chewing a cigar!

Ah, the base universe, the 616 universe, however that goes, Nick Fury is the grisly pale white guy. The black Nick Fury is from whatever the number is for the "Ultimate" Marvel universe. He's a canon AU version of Nick Fury. I think the first time I saw black Nick Fury was in the animated "Ultimate Avengers" movie when it ran on Cartoon Network, and I had to track down an explanation of why Nick Fury was black in that.

I found out from someone at work that Nick Fury is currently in hiding in the Marvel universe... as a black man...

Made me laugh!

But, still... Nick Fury is not black! [ahem]

"an X-man" ... "an" is used to differentiate between the indefinite article and the word. So, you could say "a xanthochoid man" (although why you'd want to, I don't know) but "an X-man slut".

I used to read "Nick Fury and the Howling Commandos" back when he was in the WWII comic series and I saw a few of his spy comics but was never much impressed by them. That said, and agreeing with you about Nick, I still feel that Samuel L. Jackson would do a better job nor David Hasselhoff. (Did you see the movie 'Formula 51'? Well worth it for the sight of SLJ in a kilt!! and shoe-horned into a Mini-Cooper.)

X-men was my favorite comic series, but when they did the massive cross-over and Peter dumped Kitty, I started losing interest. The increasing anti-mutant hysteria turned me off also.

Well, I wanted to write "an X-Man slut", but I was told that was wrong... I'm wondering if that is one of the writer chooses the rule deals ( ... )
