Yes, hello there, mod post here.

  • IT'S IANTO'S BIRTHDAY TODAY!! Happy first dead birthday, teaboy, they get easier as you go along, I promise. I see quite a few people have saved their pony donations until today, that's really rather sweet. Thank you all for your continuing support to the pony fund.

As this is a modly post, I figure I can ask my question here. I'm writing a fic and trying to figure out if it would be okay to post here - it's an AU where Ianto's the Doctor's companion and later works in military intelligence during wartime. Obviously, companion/soldier/UNIT Ianto knows how to kick ass and take names (and then go home and babysit his niece and nephew) but I don't know that I've seen total AUs in this community before.

AU's are fine by me, no problem.

I'd select the final option, they annoy me a lot and I don't read them - but it doesn't take much effort for me to scroll past them. But they do annoy me because I'd rather have finished works to read.

This, basically. I probably won't read until they're finished, but I'm hardly going to leave the comm with my nose in the air over them.

I don't read WIPs, I prefer to wait until they're finished unless the premise is seriously intriguing (or the sex scene is hot). But that doesn't mean other people don't like them. It doesn't bother me in the slightest to scroll past them. Just so long as it's not one of those part 10 of 569 WIPs where they post three sentences and keep begging people to tell them if they should keep posting more. Which I honestly doubt we'll see on this forum anyhow. Usually those people write Woobie!Ianto, and we'll just Ninja their asses off the forum.

I am done now.

I picked the last option as it is closest to my feelings. However, there really wasn't a response that fits me. I personally do not like WIP; I prefer fics that were betaread all in one piece for continutity and that I know will be finished. In my first fandom, we didn't post WIP and I got spoiled.

However, I have absolutely no problem with people posting WIP if they are labeled. I just wait until the last chapter is posted and go read the whole thing if I can find all the parts. So, the 2nd option fits my practice better (but the question was 'feel').
