A Happy Christmas to all at Lluest and to everyone who's supported the Trust in 2009. Thank you all for ( Read more... )

Hey guys, just to let you know this was a message direct from Gareth, not from any press person! We really all appreciate all you have done for Lluest this year.

Happy Christmas all.

Sorry, I was joking. It's very eloquent, though. Succinct.

I hope that I get the chance to create someone else as memorable for you in the coming year.

Please Gareth, please do this. Please get a role in a series and stop arsing around. You're a good actor, stop wasting your talent.

subtext: Ianto is DEFINITELY NOT coming back.

Oh...
And congrats to tencrush for organising this anyway, and to all who've donated. SQUEEE! Ebony and Brandy, my heart's all a-glow.

thanks for passing this along to us all ...

I'm glad that something good came out of the pointlessness of Ianto's death ...

However, I'm tending to side with Caledonius in the opinion that Ianto isn't coming back in any future Torchwood, but Gareth's acting talent has to be picked up soon - maybe that Bill appearance may spark an interest somewhere? Although I suspect he has been working hard to look for work ... even if the US casting people thought him overweight and too laid back ...

Ponies - whether new ones, or ones brought back into the fold, are all good ... I hope Caledonius noted that GDL appeared on stage with 2 Shetlands in panto ;-)

I kind of think he is still very young in acting terms, so many roles are either really young, or at least mid thirties or so. I'm sure even if he fancies hanging out with his band and family and friends for a while it will all be fine. If I did want anything for him career wise it would be a couple of years with the RSC or even The National, that really is the best thing for actors his age, and it's what all the successful guys have done.

good point ... and he'd take to that very well I'm sure ... he's done some Shakespeare earlier on in his acting career and period drama in Beethoven ... I wish him well, no matter what, and hope he does find stability of some sort with his friends and with Gemma ...

Yep I agree. I think there can be too much pressure. Look at all those actors who have been in the Star Treks. You don't really ever see them much again, it's a lot to expect of them to always be working and on the telly or whatever. I do think theatre is a great thing, and look at how Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan, Derek Jacobi, all gone back to it big time in the past couple of years.
