I don't know why it matters; I don't know why it matters that Laura Bush fired the White House cook either, but they had an entire story on CNN about it today (I'm very disappoint in CNN, btw). Are people's lives really made better with this trivia? And if the news stations just STOPPED showing it, would anyone care? Would anyone REALLY miss it? Or Entertainment Weekly? Or any of that useless shit that doesn't directly effect anyone? I couldn't tell you. Maybe they need something, however useless and stupid, to give their lives meaning. Their lives are so devoid of anything meaningful, they need to know what happens to people they will never meet, so they have an excuse to get up the next day. I wish I knew, maybe we could make a pill to fix it.
"We want to stop reading magazines, stop watching TV, stop caring about Hollywood... But we're addicted to the things we hate. Let's admit that America gets the celebrities it deserves."
This is why I don't like the effect of suburbia. So safe that we start giving a shit about meaningless things.
