Big cheer-up post...

If there is such a thing as post-operation blues

I feel you are totally entitled to claim post-op blues!

Some lovely colouring on those banners ( Apart from Haldir. I have a probably unjustified grouch against Haldir, his 5 o'clock shadow distressed me unduly. :-D )

I love the Eowyn wassail icon with the white stag particularly, it is a real mini-artwork!

Haldir, his 5 o'clock shadow

Yes, and I've made it worse! (Haldir is a very manly elf altogether, with this barrel chest, but I quite like that ;-)

Thank you! I was proud of that icon because it involved grafting the head from one screencap onto the shoulders from another!

I think the 5 o'clock shadow is a sign that he is actually the love-child of Círdan - possibly with Galadriel... or possibly not!

Now there's a plot bunny... or not!

Some very pretty artwork.

You really have been through the mill. Look after yourself - this is a time when self-indulgence is not justified but mandatory!

That sounds scary! I'm glad there were no ill effects by your accidental pulling of the drain. I hope you are not in pain still.

And it looks as though you have been busy with art making. Very nice, as usual. :)

Thank you.

It was an idiotic thing to do, because I found it, & thought, "I must be careful..." and then forgot about it again! And pain-wise I'm fine, though the painkillers actually made me ill for a while :-)

And thanks! If you ever want a banner...

For me, when I've been on doctor-prescribed painkillers, it was mostly afterwards that I felt ill, when I was pretty much detoxing. Of course, the first time I took such painkillers, I was sick-sick, so I probably wouldn't have noticed if the pills made me feel ill too.

Thank you for the offer. I've never considered it, mainly because I like things to be uniform, and that means I'd want a banner for every story I've ever written! LOL. So I'm a bit too insane. But thank you; I might take you up on it for a sort of LJ header banner for my writing community... But not now.

The codeine put me to sleep and the ibuprofen gave me {whispers} diarrhea. I can recommend the morphine, but that was just for the operation itself ;-)

Let me know if you want one. I did a very general one for sistermine which showed the two characters and just said 'an Eagle fanfic by sistermine'.

Those banners are beautiful - I'm not sure I can pick a favourite - but Dressing the Yule Tree is got to be up there.

And you can, most certainly, have post-op blues - twenty years ago you'd have been in hospital for a fortnight and then spent at least the next six weeks convalescing!

The map is fascinating - I am going to study it properly when it isn't time I was in bed.

And the Otter and Ferret Fest is surely a pub? Or a tavern in Gondor somewhere...

Thank you!

People keep telling me what a big deal it used to be, and I can well believe it because, even with the tiny keyholes, I couldn't sleep properly for a week as, every time I moved, the 'joins' pulled, and I can't sleep on my back. I was a bit grumpy, to say the least :-)

I'm pleased with the map so far. I always had a vague idea of where everything was, but when I came to draw the map it was hard to place some of them. There's another river (or two) that needs to go in -- the bubbling water from Doro Lanthron must come from a spring, and L & E follow a river to Melannen's home, and there's a river near Ma's factory... And I seem to remember Haldir taking a cold shower somewhere, in Season of Mists!

LOL, Otter and Ferret does sound like a pub! Unfortunately, none of the prompts I was given really spoke to me, and the best of them was set firmly at Hogwarts, and I tend to write stories set post-school.

I've just recognised your icon!

No doubt you know who the mysterious cloaked figure is and why she(?) seems to be accompanied by two armless zombies(?). I presume she has something to do with the helicopter, and the migration of the zombies towards the big building?

And... I'm worried about Rick's sanity, but at least Daryl seems to be OK.

She's just a'wanderin', just her and her two armless, jawless companions.

It's going to be all about Rickatorship from here on.
