The Sakurai Sho Drawing Picspam<3

Jan 24, 2010 23:24

To the person
who finished an Economics degree in one of Japan's ivy league schools,
who is both a respectable newscaster and a drool-worthy centerfold model
who is considered a lyrical idol and a "revolution in Johnny's"
who can do any dance step save for a backflip
who can perform aerial acrobatics, given a height limit
who loves to eat rather than cook on TV

who brought us the neighborhood tiger of 2010

and who gave us a flat-headed Santa for Christmas

may you continue to succeed in doing the things you do, sparkle and shine with the rest of Arashi,
and please, keep on drawing :)

So, in honor of his 28th birthday, my first Arashi related entry shall showcase Sho's drawings :)
Let's start!~

::+members+::

Matsujun (or, Matsujun's back)

Nino, wearing an afro wig

::+animals+::

it's not a platypus

nope, this isn't a self-portrait

it's not a fly

it's not an elephant

this one's pretty decent :)

it's not in the sea

shiny egg

green scrambled egg

"looks like it's berating itself" (2)

the second runner-up to Totoro's cuteness

rawr

now you see it...

it may be missing a few parts, but it has abs~

::+scenes+::

the cap's blurry, but yes, those are two people in a... well....

surfing

Sho meets the ugly duckling

sumo wrestling on a chocolate cake

::+icons / characters+::

hairy snowman: the hint is "the mushroom"

your clue is the pyramid

ummm... Jigen with a french fry?

Mona Lisa

Michael Jackson

Vegeta (?)... ah. the Statue of Liberty

Lupin and Fujiko and that blue car from Mr. Bean

meditate under the "Naruto" sun

the trainer of the crab with the abs

And aside from stand-alone drawings,
he also made a picture book on his attempt to grow melons and watermelons... in June.
::+Sakurai and the Secret Garden+::

Entry 1: In which he is hopeful, while a bird nests in his hair

Entry 2: Manga in four frames~ in which he pays homage to Edward Munch *many thanks to bclar for correcting my mistake :) maybe it's just plain stupidity on my part, but I really can't figure out why I initially wrote the name of one of the pioneers of cubism here, even when the painting is literally screaming expressionism~*

Entry 3: In which a tiger appears?! (the cat is too familiar), and his shoes match his pants

Entry 4: In which he tries to jump off the building, to escape those mutant cellphones

Entry 5: In which the souls of the plants fly away, leaving him in Munch-shock

Entry 6: In which we find out why Masamune used a lady bug as his pen cap... even before meeting Tsukamoto Youko.(or...maybe not?)

Entry 7: In which Sho is upset, as a crab in a bottle and a dinosaur in a can watch over the plants

Entry 8: In which a dragonfly mutates from the pesticide, and Sho calls for help using a mutant cellphone.

Entry 9: In which the Cheshire tiger poops on the remaining plant, and Sho is really, really mad.

Ummm... this collection is far from complete since I know I'm missing a lot of drawings
(including the one where Sho drew a concert screen and the ones he drew when Mihimaru GT guested on AnS). I'll just update when I find them
*digs old video clips*

Aaand... does anyone know what happened to Sho's garden?
Did it live or die, or did he give it up?
Was anyone able to check the website before for its progress?
