commenting here - please let her know it was *most* horribly plausible - I read it while mentally going No No No NO....and am now torn between wanting to know more about the horrible accident that it is and not wanting to see the process of Harriet getting to the state she's in when we meet her in canon...

Sorry about the comments thing -- I'd completely forgotten that I had it set to users-only. I've changed that. I'm glad you -- well, "enjoyed" isn't the right word, but I'm glad it worked for you. If it's any help, I was pretty much thinking the same thing while I was writing it!
