As I may have mentioned, Series 1 is the extent of my Doctor Who knowledge (and indeed love) for now. I thought to list the GUH moments of this experience, this ride into a romance I could not have anticipated. (ITEM: I was in total ignorance of this show until a month or so ago - if you do read this babble, I know it's for nostalgia's sweet sake

I definitely think you should do more of these! When I started watching DW I fell SOOO hard for Nine I barely survived it, and I'm only grudgingly acknowledging Ten. I'd love to see you do one of these entries for each episode of Season (excuse me, Series) One.

You know what I thought was interesting, vis a vis Jackie's Cringeworthy Come-on (tm)? Was this:JACKIE: I'm just in my dressing gown.
NINE: (oblivious) Yes, you are.
JACKIE: There's a strange man in my bedroom.
And then Nine says "Yes, there is," in a suddenly sexy, knee-melty-yet-casual way that disappears the moment she takes it farther, but is definitely there for a second! I've watched it a ton of times and he definitely turns on the hubba-hubba there, as if the idea of being said strange man in a strange woman's bedroom turns him on just the slightest bit. (Or maybe he's just acknowledging he's strange, lol. I don't know.)

Anyway, I loved hearing from a fellow Nine!Obsessor! Keep writing about it and I'll keep reading/commenting. :)

I know just how you feel. I'm just not watching Ten yet. Not for a good while at least! Grief takes time.

Yeah, that threw me when I watched it too! My take is - he presents himself pretty asexually until someone comes on to him (Jackie, Jabe...) and then flips one of those switches to reveal - hey, he DOES know what's going on. And he's better than you are at it. Guh! :)

They're talking like best friends having a tiff or a joke. Do they KNOW this? They haven't had a conversation unmolested by plastic yet. This is deep. There is shoulder-bumping. There's that lighting switch from hyper to serious again.

That was where I knew it was something special. I knew I was going to like the show/him and the show/her from the beginning, but that scene was electric. It was nothing, it was small talk, it was joking, and they already looked like they'd known each other forever. And there was a bit of heat in the way they kept maintaining body contact.

I know!! I was almost looking for a missing scene where they'd managed to get that comfy with each other. Wasn't needed. That's also a superb looong one-shot take. The more I watch, the more my admiration for these actors and my appreciation for their chemistry grows.

Oh, I love this! :D Really anything that analyses the Ninth Doctor makes me (very) happy, but I also really enjoyed your expression. Very entertaining. And interesting, because I saw 'Rose' last out of all of S1 (I started watching from 'The End of the World') so I saw it knowing the characters and their relationship and where it was going, so it was just a different experience.

I think ACCENT! Oh, and there's...that grin. Oh. Kay. Gulp. And the eyes. just sums it up. Hehehe.

I'd definitely be reading if you write more. And I love your icon!
