Hello *waves*. I'm here from cot_reviews. As you may or may not know, we try our darndest to read and review as many of the fics nominated for the Children of Time awards as possible. Today this fic is featured, and the review can be found right here.

I love love love this fic, and I am eternally grateful to wendymr who pimped it to me. I can't wait for the next chapter (oh please let it be soon!).

Oh, wow. I've been traveling and am about to head out again tomorrow, but this is a real surprise (and pleasure). The review had me blushing - honestly, people are going to think I wrote it myself!

If nothing else, I'm so glad you're enjoying the story. I am a slow writer at the best of times (well, slow to get to the writing part, but once I get there, it usually just takes a night) and I have a job that tends to sidetrack me from time to time, but as it happens, one of my goals for next week is another chapter. I'm a little nervous because some hardcore OT3 and Rose/Nine shippers may want to kill me, but I think it really has to go this way…

Thank you again for the great review, and the heads up. If you're interested, there are a few one-off Nine/Rose fics here,, scattered among the chapters. (I feel very weird about referring to my own work, but they're not easy to find if you don't know they're there…)

Well, I'm not hardcore either (*points to icon for indication of my usual proclivities), so BRING IT ON, I say!

I'm glad you liked the review, and I have to say that this round of reviews I've encountered so many great fics that I wouldn't have otherwise, and yours is definitely on the top of that list. It went on my rec list pretty much immediately.

Oh, I am so glad to hear from your comment to papilio-luna that you'll be posting another chapter soonish. I've so enjoyed Relict thus far, and have had it come back to me in my thoughts several times in the last year; it tends to stick in my mind, particularly because of your vivid portrayals of Nine and Jack (and Rose) and their interactions, the push and pull of their dynamic. So very well written, and so compelling to read.

Somehow I missed this comment way back when! Thank you so much for your words. It's lovely to know this has impact beyond the reading of it. It's not always been easy to write for reasons totally unrelated to fandom, and knowing that it's not just going off into the ether helps motivation. I just sent Chapter Twelve to Wendy for beta, so hopefully it will be up sometime soon…
