This was lovely! I've been on an eighties kick lately, comes from watching too much Ashes to Ashes. Such vivid pictures you paint: the Doctor with the makeup, Rose's ponytail, the dancing. Just lovely.

Thank you - I'm a very visual thinker (frustrated film maker, I think!), so I try to capture what I'm seeing in my head on the page, although that sometimes leads to extended fits of writer's block.

As I was researching the top hits of the 1980s, I was really struck by how many great songs came out of the decade (I even did a comparison with the 1990s, and I'm sad to say, there was really no comparison!).

The first time I saw The Long Game, I was really struck by Rose's very 1983 cross-zipped jacket and the "big hair" possibilities of her ponytail, so it all came out of that.

I seem to be stuck in dancing mode, too, as it's a big part of my current OT3 fic.

Wonderful! I loved where the drags him into the men's bathroom ad starts stripping off his clothes, and doesn't even notice what she's doing. ^.^ The first section, just before the timeskip, really made me want to read this fic!
