BIG RANT: Why I am never reading a Twilight book, nor seeing the movie. EVER.

I tell you what. I've never, ever seen a bigger group of batspit crazy fans than the Twilight ones. Geez, Louise, guys. If it's not killing each other at the malls,  you're attacking people giving out free movie passes!

Lol! Yes, the sparkly icon is hilarious. Poor Rob in all this, min! I agree, he's a good actor. I guess his agent got him this gig and he sort of shrugged it off, thinking it was a low-budget number. Doesn't it take like a year or two from concept to screen? Two years ago, no one cared about the book as much. It was a best seller, but meh - not a phenomenon.

Little did he know...

I hope he didn't sign on for a three-movie deal! The only thing that can save him now is if he escapes from the movies and they recast the main role.

Oy! Well...it might actually be a hit, for good or for ill. Maybe if it's actually good we'll have more adult fanfiction writers from it - folks who can calm this storm.

At least, that's my prayer. I don't want to see mobs in my fandom. I did giggle, though, when Rob mentioned the fans sounded like "screams from hell." (I'm thinkin' the fan screams sound like the the 1970s "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" movie screams. That sound sends chills up my spine, every time).
