lmao, after failing my driving test I went camping with mates and I promptly screwed up my leg and am now on crutches. Dude! It doesn't rain but it pours. I'm getting an X-ray on Wednesday.

On the bright side my mum got home from Japan yesterday and brought several squashed packages of melon-pan! Yum. <3

Oh dear! I hope it's nothing serious!! But glad you had fun camping and hiking even with the bum leg - I had a similar experience in the Yorkshire Dales when I was over there. The people I was hiking with never knew I had an issue but I couldn't walk for a LONG time afterwards without pain. Ah well!

Also, glad your mom is home safely! How are the recovery efforts going? I'm afraid we don't hear a lot on the news these days :/

Ah, omfg, the Yorkshire Dales! Beautiful place but parts of it are really tough for hiking! As I remember, it's the kind of place where the hills just keep on growing after you start climbing them. XD

The recovery effort is going OK, at least among the people I know-- people are generally getting on with things. I guess no news is better than bad news: there's probably not much coverage any more because people are mainly trucking on.

Nah, I'm pretty sure it's not a fracture or bone chip-- I've had both of those before and I recall it hurting a lot more. It's a joint thing, maybe hyperextention or something like that? My doctor reccomended an X-ray anyway. *shrug* Never had a bone bruise though. Sounds nasty!
