to-do list

Apr 14, 2011 11:24

Right, so! These seem to be all the rage and I'm making one for myself because I never do and I tend to forget things. Yeah, organisation! To be done before the end of the Easter holidays:

1) Reread Tess of the D'Urbervilles and write out quotes.
2) Reread As You Like It and write out quotes.
3) Write out project review for the extended project.
4) Jog ( Read more... )

university, to-do, journal, writing

Oh man the laundry pile to be ironed touching the ceiling. Very familiar! Wish I had siblings to get in on that :(

Also, pirate romance?

Ha, yeah, finally managed to make a dent in the laundry pile-- though it'll pile up again soon enough. ARGH.

There's an anthology asking for short stories with the theme of "gay pirate romance". I'm thinking of giving it a shot but I haven't managed to get much done yet.

9) Buy them eggs?? How random!
11) Definitely - it's a damn good movie! Not to mention beautiful to watch too. I keep meaning to buy it.
13) That's what dryers are for right? ;) I am so anti-ironing haha. If I can't drop it in the dryer for a few minutes to get the wrinkles out, it's just going as-is.
15) Pirate romance?? Must know more.

Good luck! That's quite a list you've got there.

We don't even have a dryer. XD I don't actually mind ironing that much if I can listen to my music but it's just a pain when there are other things to do!

As for pirate romance, there's an anthology asking for short stories with the theme of "gay pirate romance". I'm thinking of giving it a shot but I haven't managed to get much done yet.

Saw Nausicaa at last! You're right: it's beautiful. :D

looking through the reading list of my new life, #1 and #2 apply for me as well. Not that I've ever read Tess D'Uberville ;)

Reading lists? Are you taking English lit classes now then? Awesome! :D

And you're doing both Tess and As You Like It! Are you possibly doing pastoral fiction? That's what I'm doing with those two. XD Then again, they are also awesome just by themselves, though Tess is frigging long considering my exam is closed-book.

After a very dry and depressing stretch with economics, I have decided to drop it altogether (well, mostly, it's still my minor) and go with something I really enjoy and do British and American Studies instead. I'm having my first class on Monday and I'm so incredibly excited about having to read Mansfield Park for an introductory class that that pretty much says it all ;)

I have this long reading list divided into drama, poetry, prose and a few other sections. It spans from the 15th to 21st century and there are specifications on how many you have had to read of each section and and literary style. I don't know the specifics yet because I haven't been to any classes. I decided all of this last Wednesday and then spent all of Thursday running around trying to see if they would accept me into British and American Studies (they will, based on my grades, but not till Winter).

Ahh, I'm excited for you, I hope you enjoy it! Sounds like a very comprehensive course, too. I'm really looking forwards to moving onto university-level Eng Lit. :) You'll have to tell me how it goes on Monday!

Yeah, it's not such an evil list, just kind of a rush. XD

Sorry to hear you're also struggling with writing-- hope you get your mojo back soon!
