Top Albums of 2015

Hey everyone,

I haven't done one of these in a while so I've decided to change the format a little bit. You essentially get gushy reviews (in most cases) of the new releases I loved best in 2015. They are in order of favourite to least favourite. Enjoy!

i skimmed the list for what i know which is very little so here my commentary:
ad1. i totally missed madonnas new album *OMG i'm now officially living BEHIND the moon* but your comment made me totally want to check it out! and yes- so much yesssss to madonna fan! *high5es*

ad4: i was over the moon myself when i got my hands on that album!!!! its just everything and more! funfact: to two of the songs you mentioned i wrote fics (halfway done) because yeah they touched me so much and the beat is just amazing!!!
this album is just really great!

ad 13: i must confess i herd this album first, and i didnt find it that bad- but yes compared to the other one it lacks something, for an entry to the band i found it alright, i dont mind listen to it, but totally agree it has nothing to florence and her work!

awesome list: i might actually go and check some of the stuff out- i noticed i dont like enjoy music recs that much if i dont know what is talked about so (didnt know that before, learned today) but thanks for the hard work!

DUDE!!! She was just touring Europe!! I saw her live in Cologne in November and it was so awesome!!! <3 Also, the album is really really really really good, you need to tell me what you think of it, once you've given it a spin! And yay for fellow Madonna fan! I know way too few fans myself

please tell me now that she didnt come by vienna otherwise i must go and cry in my polster because how could i have missed that *headdesks*
and i have the same discovery. i mean i know we are million of madonna fans but i never meet them! it's a tiny bit sad but know i know you!
by the way: your most fav song from her all time? (you can cheat and give me your top 3 ;) between fans)

i totally anderstand your thing with mumford- its not always good when they change too much- some bands to the right changes and just get more awesome over time, but others just shouldnt!
i hope a future album will make up for this one for you!

and i shall totally give your suggestions a try! you will hear afterwards from me again ;)

I honestly don't know, but I know she did two concerts in Cologne and two in Berlin. If you ever wanna fly over to see one of the ones in Cologne let me know and you can crash and on my air mattress.

Hm, that is tough indeed.

However only picking one is easier than picking 5, so let's start with 1: Lucky Star, hands down. Always is and always will be Lucky Star. :D

Now onto the 5 songs. Since I've already gushed about the Rebel Heart album, I'm excluding those songs from this list in no particular order and under no circumstances will you say there are more than 5 on that list:

Ah yes, I totally agree with your Mumford & Sons remarks. I feel the same way. It just feels generic, not like them. I honestly don't care for the album at all and it sucks, because I wanted to like it so bad.

What a lovely and great post, hun. I'm going to continue reading through this some more, because I haven't listened to any of these other albums that you mentioned and I'm looking forward to read what you have to say about them!

Oh Thank God! I thought I would get a total whiplashing over not loving it. For the longest time I thought I was being a bad fan and then I just figured both sides were allowed to move on. And me too, Hon, me too. I was sooo excited when I heard they were about to release a new album. I even pre-ordered the deluxe edition and then "Wilder Mind" is what arrived and yeah...

I'm really happy my ramblings inspired you to want to check some of these out. I put a lot of effort into writing all of this down. I think you might like Lord Huron and Boy & Bear the best actually, but all the others are great too.

Aw, man. I haven't listened to any of these except for the Florence album, which I love.
I know the odd song, though, like Ex’s and Oh’s. Loved that one at first, but I cannot listen to it anymore.

Your post reminded me that I meant to watch A Little Chaos at some point. Must get to it soon!

Yeah, the sad thing about that song is that it gets on your nerves if it creeps up on you when you don't choose it. The thing is, the REST of the songs I rec-ed by her are not like that. They are SO COOL!

You really should. It's so utterly wonderful! My top two films of last year are Mad Max and A Little Chaos. I've decided they have to share the podest and then we have Spy on second place. :D

Let me know how you like the other music in this post, if you get around to listening to them. I have major needs for shared gushing about this! :D
