Dean gets Sam to count the time between, like they used to, and Dad shakes his head at the two of them, smiling a little. Us against the world, Dean thinks, and the three of them race towards the storm. No slowing down, no room for hesitation in a life like this.

He lets out a whoop of laughter and hangs on for the ride.
