I, too, have some type of strange recording device in my brain to remember things from long, long ago. But ask me what happened recently and I'll draw a blank. At work I write everything down, but I have to actually remember to look over my stenopad to see what's on there. If I put it aside, then that's where it will stay until another note-taking opportunity surfaces.
