i must ask... what is the point in wisdom teeth??

From how they've been explained to me, wisdom teeth were critical to human ancestors (thousands of years ago) who did not have utensils for chopping and cutting food. Humans needed bigger mouths and more teeth for the bigger bites and greater amounts of chomping and chewing. However, current technology allows us to limit the work of our mouths, saving our teeth from wayyyy too much work ( ... )
