Art: brushpens again (kimono draft included)

Jun 21, 2007 03:08

Two under the cut, all experimental figures with brush and ink and the help of some pens for detail. I'm fucking scared to put colour into the first one. This is what sudden free time does to you.

Cut 1: 天狗と娘 )

art » pen + ink, character » ロ, project » the city - 昔々時代, pairing » ロ/天狗!鬼, form » art

*is the idiot who forgot to comment on the art*

o.o They're very pretty. For some reason or another, I can't help but stare at the back of the person at the second picture's neck. Luffles the kimono. <3

Although I think the hair of the guy with the wings moves in a direction contrary to the rest of his body and the picture? @_@

Thanks! :D This is just an experimental thing, to see if I'm better off with a brushpen (looking fine so far XD).

I meant for the wind to move from the West, as with the girl's hair ^^; It does look a little strange I guess, more animeish in general effect. XD

First one reminds me of ancient Japanese art. Or was it Chinese? Anyway, that, but not exactly. Kinda like a cross between that and contemporary art.

Second one reminds me a lot of this one picture of RK's Kaoru Kamiya.

They're really nice.

You nailed it right down! :3 I meant to emulate the woodblock-type of art from the Meiji period, but it's kind of tricky. Thank you!! I was hoping to borrow from that sort of aesthetic, but not entirely.

Thank you again~ ★
