Beautiful, as always. Love the characterization of the minor characters as well. This line, especially: None of the battle cries that Lee liked to spout when he was particularly fired up; none of the threats and gloating that Naruto yelled when he took the defensive.

(And by the way, mind if I friend you? I'd miss this update if not for random checking of your LJ.)

Life really does suck through a straw when it strips me the time to properly reply to a fic so well-written as this. D: Shame on it, really.

I've mentioned in comments prior how much I enjoy your writing style right? Nothing's ever rushed, misplaced... and the symbolism and subtext is never over-the-top. In all, quite refreshing and the world definitely needs more NejiSasu--from you in particular because you give it a more sensical/logical spin. The pacing, I think, is what always gets to me and makes me warm/fuzzy inside.

That being said, I loved this piece--for the gradual realizations on Neji's part, for the incorporative mention of calisthenics, and for that whole spiel on Kusanagi. (Gawd, weapon!kink much? XDDD)
