Sitting here in front of the computer, not tired enough to go to bed, even though I really should. So, a bit of a ramble, since I haven't done one of these (or anything else :P 'round here recently).

Hi there! Your NYC trip sounds really kewl (yay for managing to keep two tweens in check, btw). That 'escape the room' thing is intriguing. Did you folks manage to solve the puzzle?

Yeah, we did, actually. :) With about 2 minutes to spare, and making liberal use of a couple hints that were offered when the employee lady keeping an eye on us realized that we were WAAAAY overthinking things and needed to be reined in a bit. :)

The scenario we were in took 12 people, so our four was added to a group of people who all worked together at Google, and they were pretty good to work with. The group that came out before us sounded like they had a ton of kids who were just running around being wild... so I think the fun of the experience definitely hinged on having the right mix of people.

Oh wow, that sounds really interesting! There are so many escape-type adventures in computer games, it delights me that there is a RL option :D
