Burning needles of curiosity are piercing my brain

Argh! One of the few things in life that drive me absolutely up the wall are secrets. In particular, secrets that I am not in on. As long as they are unknown to me, I am content to go about my daily life, happy as a clam. But then Person A has to throw out the fact that there is something unknown to me that Person B, or Person C/D/E/etc, doesn't ( Read more... )

Ah, the sweet suffering of Mike. Taste the salty tears of frustration.

That said, I must fully agree with your sentiments. Secrets presented and then not told pain me greatly as well. They are far worse than incomplete stories; those I have a hope of piecing together. Information denied completely is awful.

However, I have been yelled at on many ocassions for NOT revealing secrets told to me in confidence. It was somehow expected that I would be the convenient leak of information. If I'm told don't tell anyone, there you go, I don't. Then blaming me for the lack of disemenation of that information is just stupid wack. I may never understand women.

Too Many Secrets, Marty

If I'm told don't tell anyone, there you go, I don't.Same here, with the exception of Heather (and whenever I give my word to keep a secret, I always explicitly except Heather). I think that, overall, this is a better policy than telling when a person really wants to know, as people like us always really want to know.

In defense of my actions, I did NOT tease Humphrey with this secret - I mentioned it offhandedly on LJ, assuming that he still occasionally read my friends page (as I have seen him do in the past) and thus would already have seen the post that started it all.

Correction: You did not tease me...until you knew I wanted to know!

You reply to Kaye left me with the headshaking of being "short, red haired Phil". It is true that all of my male friends are taller than me. However, is it my fault that you people all have pitutary disorders that goes with your cool?
