Thank you for this fact finding expose! I'm now looking forward to when the next lot of Jehovah's Witnesses foolishly come to my new apartment. I usually only get one shot at them before they strike my house from the list permanently.

May the Schwartz be with you!

Erik linked to this post from his LJ. wow that's awesome. once when I was a teenager I took refuge in the Scientology building on Sunset Blvd... anyways. it has the same panelling and rugs and everything.

I tried to read Dianetics, years later. I failed. it is the only book I have thrown across the room. it is the only book I have placed in the trash.

meanwhile I second the comment above. look at xenu.net. it's amusing.

hi. i'm a friend of eriks.

i found this pretty amusing because i too have ventured into the SF scientology headquarters for a little "enlightenment".

i ended up sort of getting in an argument with two people there about this machine which was supposed to take a reading of your purity level or some such nonsense. i kept asking about the actual internal mechanics of the machine and what it was infact measuring. nobody could (or would) tell me. they kept just insisting on really vague things like that it was reading "energy".

if it didn't cost shitlots of money i would almost certainly devote a lot of my time to infiltrating their church.
